I get this question often. I mean OFTEN. Wether you would like to become a model, or are just interested in a models nutrition, i can speak from experience.
As a model, and as someone that has many model friends [both men and women models] I can assure you, models look great not by chance.
Being a model is hard work, maintining a beautiful physique is no joke.
So, what do we eat you ask? lets dive into it!
Models DO Eat
First, contrary to popular belief, I want you to understand that models do NOT starve themselves to death. At least most models don’t. We do eat, in fact we need to eat (we’re human too) if we want to keep our muscle mass.
If you will starve yourself your body will burn your fat but it will also burn your muscle, so having a balanced diet is crucial.
You also want to avoid starvation for mental reasons and avoiding health conditions such as bulimia and anorexia.
(Most) Models Eat Healthy
What does eating “healthy” mean, you ask?
Generally, it means avoiding sugary foods, junk foods, and processed foods. Now you need to understand that it has to do with portions. Meaning, there are no bad foods (generally) but there are bad portions.
If you eat a slice of pizza you won’t die, but if you eat an entire Pizza you will gain weight.
However, most models I know avoid these kind of foods because they are calorie-densed and are not filling.
Think about it, when was the last time you had just 1 cube of chocolate? you probably ate the whole bar.
Models Should Workout
While many will say that “abs are made in the kitchen” I disagree with that way of thinking.
Models, and people in general in my opinion, should workout.
Working out (specifically, weight-lifting) has so many benefits. Not only you will change you body composition and have a better looking physique, but there are many health benefits to working out.
